We are Attached to what we need emotionally.

What we need emotionally, we form an attachment with.

An emotional need attaches us to whatever meets that need emotionally.

We become attached emotionally to people and possessions.

Whatever we are attached to emotionally, we will need to own and possess.

Our possessions or belongings are material things that we we have become attached to because emotionally we need them.

When we become emotionally detached from our possessions and belongings, we have no need to own them and have no feelings either way about losing them.

Our attachment to ownership will result in grief at the loss of what we need emotionally. 

Grief is the energy drain of experiencing becoming unattached to our emotional attachments.

When we become detached from our emotional needs, we are free of our attachments.
